It’s interesting that the shape and use of the handbag is intricately woven into woman’s quest for independence in society and from men. In essence, the handbag is a symbol of the feminist movement and as all women have carried one style of handbag or the other, we have all taken part in that movement even if only as beneficiaries of the styles, colors, and high fashions.
